Introduction to the New WfMC Site 
Thank you visiting the new online community for the Workflow Management Coalition. This site is currently in beta mode and any feedback you can share would be appreciated. It is the result of several months' effort, involving a ground-up rebuild of our previous site.
The goal of this site is to provide a single point of access to the resources of the WfMC. It now includes integrated document management, wikis, forums, CRM, member management, event/calendar management, e-commerce capabilities, as well as a host of new capabilities for delivering benefits to members.Within the site there is now a single contact database for everyone from members to attendees to all other contact. It manages all files and requires free a registration for some, pay options for others, or members-only access for members, delegate administration for managing microsite, some basic foreign language localization and the ability to support microsites for country chapters, the private member site will now be a subset of the main site with a single point of access/sign-on, will have private workspaces for all standards and activities. 2008 BPM and Workflow Handbook Now Available! 
The 2008 BPM and Workflow Handbook was recently launched at the Architecture & Process 2008 conference and available for purchase, including immediate electronic download.Starting with a look at the new business imperative for BPM in 2008 by Nathaniel Palmer, WfMC Executive Director, chapters this year include useful non-technical advice on implementing your first BPMS, step by step instructions on creating SOA and a look at converging BPM technologies and how they will affect your business. Technical papers include detailed examination of process mining and integration of WfMC standards with others in this space. Following a 60-day review and comment period, as well as voting by member, the WfMC Steering Committee voted on 23 April 2008 to approve version 2.1 of XPDL. This release includes all new functionality that was submitted to the working group and accepted by the working group. Also included is new functionality to update the BPMN to version 1.1 as well as specific descriptive material on BPMN as well as the BPMN E-Mail Voting process, plus an extended section on conformance to support portability of BPMN design-level models.
