The deal includes 1up.com, GameVideos.com, MyCheats.com, and GameTab.com and will add an extra 40,000,000 monthly unique visitors per month to the UGO network; jesus.
No word yet if the name will be scrapped, but it's suspected that it will remain for a while at least. Japan's game sales managed to drop 15% on total sales of $6.2 billion while the UK market almost managed to equal the Japanese one, selling a total of $6 billion worth of gaming related media in 2008.
This is an increase in size of just over 23% from 2007 which means the market has nearly doubled in the last few years. It's the bottom of OCZ's pile in terms of performance, with read speeds of up to 155MB/sec and write speeds of up to 90MB/sec.
The top end SSDs are the Vertex range, and they feature up to 64MB of cache onboard and feature read speeds of up to 200MB/sec and write speeds of up to 160MB/sec.
Focusing back on the Apex drives though, they'll be available in 30GB, 60GB, 120GB, and 250GB flavors and have a MTBF of over 1.5 million hours.
