Over the years I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the limited ability of ToolBook to position objects on a page. Therefore, I’ve developed a tool for aligning and positioning objects which acts much like alignment tools you see in vector illustration programs and paint programs for managing layered objects. ToolBook XML file format documentation published

New in ToolBook 9.5 is a new XML file format for ToolBook. The new tbkx format allows complete specification of a ToolBook book: it is a zipped archive of XML files specifying pages, backgrounds and other objects along with their properties. The XML references other files embedded in the tbkx zip archive such as shared scripts, bitmaps and other media. Read more »

Decided that it was about time that I did a complete revamp to my website (viewtolearn.net) so that it more accurately reflected what I get up to these days. Also a good excuse to learn a bit about css, php, search engines in general and a few other things. There’s still a fair amount to do (like getting the site search to work properly), but I’d like the help of the good members of this community to point me in the direction of any great ToolBook resources that you think that I have missed. I still have a few more things to add to this myself, but I know only too well that I’ve missed some and I’d like your help in pinpointing them. Read more »
